Australia CDMA with Verizon Phone29 May 2004 07:32 GMT2
Has anyone used their Verizon phone in Australia on Telstra? My son will be
in Gold Coast, near Brisbane, for college and thought about taking his
phone. With the 111111 verizon lock code, it could be reprogrammed or maybe
it just needs a different PRL. Any thoughts about Australian ...
Buying an Nokia CDMA phone in Asia, will it work on Verizon's network?29 May 2004 07:08 GMT2
I see Nokia is popping up with new CDMA phones in Asia. I'll be in SE
Asia next week and have been wanting a new phone. Was reading
something about CDMA 2000 1X network in SE Asia - is this different
than Verizon's network? Is the 3589i the only option? I can also post
on train, Milwaukee to Minneapolis29 May 2004 06:06 GMT3
I hope to be taking a trip by train from Milwaukee to Minneapolis and back
next month. What will my VZW coverage be like?
(If you don't know, the route goes through Wisconsin Dells to La Crosse,
then up the west bank of the Mississippi to Minneapolis.)
Does changing to family plan require contract extension?29 May 2004 01:47 GMT2
When I signed up for Verizon, they told me that I could change my plan
(add minutes, etc.) without having to get a contract extension.
I currently have a single phone. My wife's contract with T-Mobile has
ended and we want to switch to a Verizon Family plan. Do I have to
Which phone brands have a standard data connector29 May 2004 01:41 GMT2
I currently have a Kyocera 2135 and a serial cable I connect to my
laptop and Palm Pilot.  The newer Kyocera phones have changed the
connector on the bottom of the phone so I'll need to purchase a new
cable if I upgrade.
In search of the best Verizon phone28 May 2004 20:15 GMT5
My current contract with Verizon ends on June 19th, and I'm looking
for a new phone.  I'm looking for a mobile phone that:
1. is small, non-camera, web-enabled, with a color screen (like LG
VX3200/VX4600, Aiudiovox CDM8600, Samsung a530s);
EXCELLENT customer service on a Data problem with Verizon....28 May 2004 17:04 GMT6
On May 14th I returned home from a biz trip with my PC-5220 card in my
laptop. I noticed that I could no longer access the data service that had
previously worked flawlessly. After trying it in two laptops, and multiple
locations I came to the conclusion that my PC-5220 card was not ...
For those of us not using our minutes?28 May 2004 06:46 GMT17
I have had my verizon AC400 plan since last August. I got it as I went off
for my first year of college, for the convienence all around and the
security it brings having it.
Problem is, I don't use my minutes! Last statement I used under 100 minutes,
Audiovox 890028 May 2004 04:15 GMT3

Does anyone know if the Sierra Aircard 5220 (580) has an external antenna
connector?  If so, a source for compatible antennae?
Thanks.

alternative WAP server down?27 May 2004 20:28 GMT4
For the last couple of months, I've been using the WAP server at
194.204.012.042:9201, mainly to access my Yahoo email.
Yesterday and today, all I can get is "Server not responding."
Is this server down, or has someone somehow blocked it from free use on
2 months into a new contract, VZW replaces a VX6000 lost, for $79.99: you've got to ask to receive.27 May 2004 19:21 GMT1
Two months into a new contract, a smooth talking person gets VZW to replace
his now broken VX6000 for $79.99.  Outstanding customer service.  So in 2
months, he got 2 VX6000; he asked, and was persistent.  You got to hand it
to him for his effort and persistence.

LG VX10 External Display missing bars27 May 2004 17:39 GMT2
I've had my LG VX10 for 15months.  Recently the External Display has
started to go south.  The text is becoming difficult to read do to the
fact it appears Vertical lines are striping through the text.  That is
the black text is disapearing in a verticle fasion.  Is this a common
LG VX6000 Silent ring27 May 2004 17:17 GMT3
I would like to program one phone number in my contact list to not ring when it
is called to my phone.  Is there a way to do this, like having a custom ring
for a phone contact? When I try to edit a number to a silent ring, all the
choices I have are different audible rings.  Thanks
