contract question14 May 2004 06:36 GMT5
I'm a cellular newbie, sorry for my ignorance.
I've been a verizon customer for over 4 years.  I've been using my original
phone for those 4+ years, while my friends were buying new snazzy phones
every 12 months.  :)  My phone began giving me problems (no surprise), so I
Beeps in a CDM-890014 May 2004 00:26 GMT1
My CDM-8900 now beeps twice each time I make or receive a call. It did
not do this for the first month or so. Anyone know what might be
happening?
E-mail using Mobile Web14 May 2004 00:04 GMT10
I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this question but I'll ask to be
sure.
Is there no way to send and/or receive E-mail from a Verizon phone
using the built-in Mobile Web client? The menu option linking the
problems in Westchester, NY?13 May 2004 20:46 GMT2
For the first time since I've had VZW service, I'm frequently unable
to place calls in northern Westchester county in NY, from Mt. Kisco,
for example.  I find that after dialing a number, my phone stays in
the "calling" state for over a minute, only eventually completing the
Compare phones13 May 2004 17:01 GMT2
Are there any good sites that do a head-to-head comparison of cell phones? I
want to be able to compare a few phones feature by feature.
Thanks....
Verizon map vs. "new" GSM Cingular/Attwireless expanded coverage map13 May 2004 16:18 GMT7
I have been with Verizon for years, but I have to admit, I'm curious
about the coverage of this combined company. Any comments?
switching towers?13 May 2004 13:30 GMT3
Quite often when talking with a moving mobile outside the home area, I get
cut off.  This results in extra minutes used to reconnect.  Supposedly the
call has to switch towers while in motion and must cut off, to reinitiate
the call thru the new tower.  This sounds like a crock of ...
Coverage in Easton, PA13 May 2004 12:34 GMT11
We left VZW about 2 years ago as they had awful coverage in our area,
Easton, PA (Lafayette College area) zip codes 18040, 18042 and 18045). I
talked to a few people in my area who have VZW and they still report
"issues". I called VZW to see if there was any news on adding new cell ...
New MI coverage not on map???13 May 2004 06:16 GMT1
I am glad that the NE part of the LP is now covered with AC from what I
am gathering with these new PRL's released.  My only question is why did
they not upgrade the map to show this addition?  I would assume they would
want people to see that there is now coverage in this area, ...
New Local digital service maps for Kentucy13 May 2004 05:29 GMT6
If you enter the zipcode into the vzm plans selector, the local
digital map now shows new coverage in eastern ky, but thus far the
america's choice has not changed..WILL IT CHANGE TOO??

VZW pushing PRL?13 May 2004 04:39 GMT11
Hi, I am in SID 28 (New England)... looked at my phone info today and was
surprised to see PRL 50154, which I believe came out a few weeks ago. *I
have purposely not done a *228 in several months,* so I can only assume that
VZW pushed the update OTA. Does this make any sense?
PRL Changes: 50154 vs. 5016013 May 2004 01:22 GMT12
Here's the latest PRL analysis.  Michigan improved by adding RFB as
Extended Network instead of roaming in the NE part of the lower
pennisula.  UP remains the same.  I find it odd (but not surprising as
who knows that kind of contract they have with RFB) that they are using
Lg vx7600 - is there an antenna plug?12 May 2004 21:03 GMT4
I'm thinking of getting the vx 7600 but need to know if I can plug it
into my Wilson mobile antenna.  It never says on the spec sheets
whether there is an external antenna plug.  Drives me crazy.
Anyone have one that can look?
Motorola V710 Bluetooth Phone Release12 May 2004 16:17 GMT1
Any truth to the rumor that the V710 Bluetooth enabled phone will be
released May 21st to the Verizon stores?
