OK Y'all.  I got some questions.  I am going fulltime, that is travel
fulltime in my motorhome around the country.  I need a cell phone.  My needs

CDM8900 - anyone using this10 Jun 2004 23:25 GMT1
What a piece of garbage.  Voice dial programming is very odd.  Instead of
going to the phone book and recording a voice tag for an entry, you record
your voice tag first and then you enter the phone number for the tag.  If it
matches a number in the phone book, it will use the entry ...

A few questions about VX6000 features10 Jun 2004 20:46 GMT3
I was messing with my phone today and came across some stuff I don't
understand.  What's the power saver?  And I also turned on the status light,
but don't know what it is.  So I turned it off.  Same with the GPS.  I
noticed when I turned on the GPS, there looked to be an extra ...
Latest firmware for v60i?10 Jun 2004 18:00 GMT2
I have 2200.01.2B for the Motorola V60i on Verizon's CDMA service. Differing
Verizon support reps say: 2200.01.2B is the latest, 2200.01.35 is the
latest, and there is no way to find that out (most popular answer).
What's the truth?
Just bought a new phone: should I keep it or get another?10 Jun 2004 16:47 GMT2
I just bought a new VX6000. I originally got a AAA special two years
ago for $30 and a few months later bought a v60i on ebay. I have been
happy with the Motorola. I am pretty much happy with the LG.
I had considered the Audiovox 8900 or the Samsung with the flip around

Tonight, I finally installed my LG4400 as a modem, using the Radio Shack
purchased cables, and downloaded drivers.  When I dialed in to #777, using
an ID of qnc and password of qnc, I could only receive an error message of
691(?) indicating that the username or password was ...
PRL affecting battery life?10 Jun 2004 12:07 GMT6
I have a LG VX10 phone. Back in March, I updated my PRL to 50153.
Surprisingly, I saw my battery life increase.
Last week, I updated to PRL 50160. Now my battery life has
*decreased*.
After your contract ends?10 Jun 2004 06:58 GMT11
What do most people do when their contract ends? I have a one year contract
ending this August. I heard that I might get switched to a month-by-month
billing basis, with no more contract from that point on. Is this true?
If I actually will be switched to a monthly basis with no ...

Can tower turn off cellphone?10 Jun 2004 06:11 GMT6
I am a trucker and I travel all over the US with my phone. The phone has
worked fine for nearly a year. I pulled into a rest area just south of
Parkersburg, WV on I-77 the other day. I went to make a call and I noticed
my Audiovox CDM 8300 was turned off. I turned it back on. The ...
international roaming ?10 Jun 2004 03:48 GMT1
I'm a little bit curious about Verizon's international roaming.
Based on the information from www.cdg.org  , I find that there are quite a
few countries around the world which use 800Mhz CDMA 2000  as well.  For
example, both Japan and Taiwan are supposed to have 800mhz CDMA 2000
