How to get a data call to go through?!22 Jun 2004 12:43 GMT15
Okay, I bought a mobile office kit for my trusty old Audiovox CDM-9000. I
plug it into my laptop. I try dialing #700 using qnc / qnc as the
login/password in dial-up networking, and nada. It says there is no answer
and the phone lcd displays '5 sec' flashing (indicating that the ...
Service in Montreal Canada w/ NJ based cell phone22 Jun 2004 11:48 GMT14
Has anyone had any experience w/ using their phone in Montreal?  My phone is
based in the Phila/South Jersey region and I'm heading to Montreal next
month.  Is it close enough to the border to stay in service or is it
considered a roaming area?
Kyocera 713522 Jun 2004 06:44 GMT6
I just got a Kyocera 7135. It's a nice phone, and so far I like it a lot,
apart from two things:
1. When the hands-free kit is plugged in, you can't hear it ring (except
through the hands-free kit). I like to use a hand-free kit much of the time,
Verizon's Poor Equipment Selection22 Jun 2004 06:38 GMT12
I've been struggling with this for a while and I've come to the
conclusion that Verizon just doesn't carry much in the way of
equipment. I'm probably the minority that really doesn't appreciate
flip phones or clam shells or whatever the kids are calling them these
Best Phone For  Weak Signal Area22 Jun 2004 06:38 GMT13
What is the best phone for a weak signal area.  While in Beaufort SC our signal
sucks.  Any suggestions as our contract is about up.  We like verizon, but  are
tired of all the weak signal disconnects.  We also like connecting to our isp
via  verizon because we could not connect to ...
VZW will credit $5 monthly22 Jun 2004 05:57 GMT14
to anyone that pays their bill online via CHECK?
I was browsing my info on the verizon site and saw on the left you get 100
bonus minutes when you pay your bill with your checking account online, and
if you have other current bonus minutes (would this be 1000 M2M, or N+W
PING! >>  Dr. wireMORE.. Let me get this straight......22 Jun 2004 04:43 GMT3
these old eyes are having increasing problems with the "free" Verizon
Qualcomm phone I got 18 months ago.  Local store just told me to get a
new phone I would HAVE to sign up for a new 2 year contract.
(unacceptable...I am in month 4 of my second 1 year agreement).  All I
Verizon Wireless website down22 Jun 2004 04:16 GMT9
I have been unable to access the Verizon Wireless website (
www.verizonwireless.com )  for the past few days. I called customer
service and they were clueless, as usual.   Anyone else have this
problem?  Does anyone from VZW read these postings?
Samsung SCH-a530 - Need for leading 1?22 Jun 2004 02:56 GMT2
I'm just about upset with my Samsung SCH-a530 phonebook.  When I first
got the phone, I put all the numbers I need into the phonebook with no
leading one.  Caller ID never failed, but some of the entries would
generate error messages when I tried to dial them.
Moto Color Tri-Mode Phone?22 Jun 2004 02:44 GMT2
Anyone know of Verison will be offering a color screen tri-mode soon?
ATT has the color V60t for instance.
And _No_ not the moto 720/730 series phones: been there, done that,
they sucked on battery life and dropped calls.
My local fire department was doing a controlled burn22 Jun 2004 02:43 GMT2
My local fire department was doing a controlled burn of an old house
and storage shed last Thursday night.  I just happened to have my
camera with me and grabbed an opportunity for some interesting photos

Verizon Detailed Billing Going Away unless you call  (end of this month expires)22 Jun 2004 01:27 GMT8
This has already been discussed back in March, but just as an FYI, folks
need to call to keep their detailed paper billing if they want to.  Note
that folks will continue to be able to see detailed billing online so some
won't care about this.  I prefer paper detailed bills, so I ...
LG VX3200 Data cable21 Jun 2004 21:22 GMT2
I just bought the VX3200 and was wondering if anyone knew about the
data cable availability. I would like to upload pictures/ringers to my
phone. The manual shows the cable. I emailed LG electronics and got
this response:
Technical question on Airprime PC card - Unlimited NationalAccess and Networks21 Jun 2004 19:00 GMT7
A question that someone here may or may not be able to answer. I keep trying
Verizon tech support and got many different and conflicting answers. I have
a laptop with an Airprime card and an unlimited account.  One of my office
mates has a DSL connection, and another has a cable ...
