FreeUp -> Pay As You Go22 Aug 2004 16:07 GMT2
My son, a Verizon prepaid (FreeUp) user, just got a card in the mail from
Verizon offering a $5 credit to switch to the new "Pay As You Go" rate
program.  It's still prepay.  The current FreeUp plan is 35 cents peak/10
cents off-peak.  The new plan is 10 cents/minute all the time, ...

Just like most of you I have been eagerly anticipating the new phone, and
planned to snatch one up on the first day, but shortly before the big event,
my company, a major defense contractor, announced a new policy which forbids
the use of cameras and camera-equipped cellular phones ...

Your wireless phone number AND name may show up when you call someone21 Aug 2004 21:59 GMT7
Have I missed something:  seems that the updated customer agreement states
that both my phone number & name may be displayed on someones caller ID, or
is this just wishful/future technology at its best.  dr
The excerpts from the sections are below.  Is this new, or been there all

Stubby or Extendable antenna21 Aug 2004 17:07 GMT18
On a CDMA system such as Verizonwireless, antenna length makes a
difference. Some Verizon phones have stubby and some have extendable
antennas.
My previous Motorola V60i had an extendable antenna and my present LG

I got a free  Nokia 3589i phone when we switched to Verizon. I do a
fair amount of field work and don't always pack my laptop. My employer
also uses Verizon. It's a small business and I'm the token technical
guy, so I'd like to use exploit the technology as much as possible.
What does Verizon do with the phones that people return?21 Aug 2004 04:13 GMT4
I was just wondering what happens to these phones. I hope that they
become part of the fleet that is used to swap out defective older phones
rather than be sold as new again. Does someone know for sure?

Trouble making National Access connection21 Aug 2004 02:04 GMT11
I recently changed my wife's plan from National Single Rate to America's
Choice, hoping to get set up to use National Access MOU. From reading this
group and other sources, I knew not to tell the CS rep that I was planning
to connect to a laptop. When we were nearly finished with ...

Advance Payment20 Aug 2004 23:00 GMT2
I am not on auto pay but was wondering if I wanted to send in a check to cover
a couple of extra months, would my Verizon account show a credit and my next
bill just be deducted from that credit so I would not have to worry about that
months bill?  Has anyone done this? Thank you
