Opinion: Need the "loudest & noisy-est" vibrate mode24 Oct 2004 07:50 GMT3
A young man who spends a fair time in a combine asks for the phone that has
the most robust vibrate mode.  The noisier and more forceful the vibrate the
better.  You ask your self how can it be noisy...if it is on vibrate.  Older
phones become "loose" with age, and they vibrate ...

Phone Ratings for Fringe Reception?24 Oct 2004 03:14 GMT2
Could anyone in the biz or with access to multiple new Verizon phones
give a ranking of fringe reception in both analog and digital modes?
Don R used to do this on occaision. I'd be interested in a comparison
of the Mot710, Audiovox 9900 and LG 6100. Any other handsets of note
Audiovox 990023 Oct 2004 21:51 GMT2
It's been a while since I've been online reading the forums.  I have
been waiting for the VX8000, but then read on phonescoop about the
audio 9900.
Currently I have the 9500 and was considering upgrading to the 9900.
Phone with java support23 Oct 2004 17:51 GMT1
I got Samsung A650 phone right now but it doesn't support java applets and I
would like to run java irc client on my phone (with http gateway it is
possible through wap I think). I also would like to download files (jpg,
gif, mid) directly from the web pages and save them into ...
Help using Bluetooth phone as modem for Bluetooth Laptop to access Verizon's mobile web23 Oct 2004 15:34 GMT1
I currently have my Motorola V710 set up with my Pocket PC to act as a
modem so that I can access Verizon's mobile web on my POcket PC. I've
used the access number as #777 with qnc as both the username and
password. This works perfectly on my Pocket PC.
newb question re: camera phones w/verizon23 Oct 2004 07:40 GMT4
I'm getting ready to renew my contract w/Verizon, and I figure I might as
well upgrade my phone at the same time.  There are several camera phones
available for cheap - but I'm just wondering how much that stuff will nickel
and dime me to death.  So anyway, my question...
Best Headset?23 Oct 2004 07:22 GMT13
I'm looking for a really good quality headset for my VX 4400 with the
following priority:
I need to sound clear when I am speaking to someone.  I am more
concerned about the quality of my voice transmission than I am about how
Ever heard of *67723 Oct 2004 07:21 GMT20
I just received a mail message  a "sad story" that someone using verizon
wireless contacted emergency help by pressing *677.  Encouraging people to
pass-it-on.  Has anyone ever heard of this?  Or the story?  If true, I'd
like to help pass it on; if not, then I'd like to nip it in ...
Phone recommendation23 Oct 2004 06:52 GMT2
I'm looking to replace my LG VX4400, and am hoping to get some
first-hand recommendations.  I'm happy with the VX4400 except for its
ringer volume -- even the low setting is so loud that when it rings
inside my cube, everyone within 500 feet can hear it.  I originally
Verizon Promos & Oklahoma City23 Oct 2004 04:52 GMT12
Does anyone know when the current promos will change? It seems like you used
to be able to get more minutes on AC then you can right now.
Also, my job is sending me to OKC soon....permanently. I am guessing the
roaming provider will be Sprint...or US Cell? Anyone have any comments ...
VX4400 and faxing23 Oct 2004 02:47 GMT6
Has anyone been able to fax from a desktop with an LG VX4400 phone? Is
there an on-board fax in the VX4400 or does it use CDMA to connect to
the carrier's fax?
Broadband access sending email23 Oct 2004 02:17 GMT4
I see that Verizon Wireless Broadband wireless now allows sending email.
They always allowed receiving email but the sending email is new.  I have a
DSL internet with Verizon (the landline company) and that's how I get my
email.
Get it Now - Ring Tone Previews?23 Oct 2004 01:24 GMT3
Where can I find a list of ringtones the different Get It Now applications
offer? Some don't have demos and some of the demos expire very quickly. In
addition some of the applications have really cheesy versions of some of the
songs. I would like to know what they offer before I pay ...
