I've been using T-Mobile for several years now. I live in New York
City and the service is bad at best. Limited reception in my home and
office. It appears I'll do better with Verizon. However, I travel to
Europe (mainly England) and my Sony Ericsson T68i transitions

Traveling north from NYC are there any analog only areas?  I do notice when
I go upstate and get off the Thruway that I often get "No Service" on my
phone.  I'm using the LG VX4500 and since it's a digital only phone, I would

I saw a car charger that listed both LG units as compatible, but does
this apply to data as well ?
I'm used to using Bitpim for my old 4400, but now of course I need a
new cable for my new 6100.

I activated my old Audiovox 9000 last night online.
It wouldn't receive calls (calls rang 5-6 times and went to voicemail), and
when I tried to call out, James Earl Jones told me they couldn't verify
authentication.

I hear this phone has good reception. Are there any owners that can
confirm that for me. my contract is up in a few days and I would like
to upgrade from my MOTO v60s.

If I'm on a call within the VZW network and physically move into an area
where only roaming coverage is available, will the call get dropped or
automatically switch to roaming rates?  (Personally, I'd prefer the former.)

To all you Verizon Wireless travelers to Pike and Wayne counties in NE
PA --- I just read the Shohola Township is deciding on whether to allow
Verizon to put up a cell phone tower in an area near Shohola Lake,
along Route 6 in Pike County. This section of Route 6 is a dead area

Stupid question time...  How do you turn off the sounds that it makes when
the phone is being turned on or turned off?  Surely I'm missing something.

Anyone know if there is fix for the "volume bug" yet. This is a quirk
that when you answer a call, the voice of the caller is lower for about
2-3 seconds before it comes up to full volume.

How can I force my LC VX4500 to "roam" on Sprint?  My Verizon coverage near
my home really stinks and was just wondering if perhaps Sprint might have
better coverage in my area.
