I spoke with the Verizon Tech in a Las Vegas store and he advised that
the software update for the audio problem is now available.

I stopped by a local Radio Shack tonight and they had a full-page
advertisement/handout
regarding the 100 bonus minute promo.
Couple things from that document:

My two year VZW contract expired.  Currently I am on America's Choice,
300 minutes plus 30 anytime minutes (promo).  Monthly bill is $29.75,
after a corp. employee discount.  I rarely go over the allocated minutes.
This was my first cellphone contract, so I am wondering what sort ...

I have not seen ONE single change in their pricing since I have been with
them (13 months).
Every other carrier has better pricing/more minutes.   I know Verizon
doesn't have to be the cheapest, according to some here-- but any chance

Interesting deal with one month old 6100. Not only did the volume not work
correctly but this morning when I unplugged my phone the battery was still
dead. The phone said fully charged but the battery was almost dead. I tried
a 12v charger instead got the same results. The phone ...

My "New Every 2" date is coming up and I'm looking hard at the v710.  Does
anyone have any comments about this phone that might help with the
selection?

Has anyone purchased one of these extended life batteries for their
VX4500?  Is the battery life significantly longer? I find the one that
comes with the phone runs down very quickly.

non-vzw website (like letstalk.com)?

Well, after doing a lot of searching, it looks like the 6100 cannot have
it wap proxy port changed.   Is there any known way to get around this
other than setting a home-based proxy server?   I'd rather not give VZW
money for something I won't use much, but would be nice to have ...

In october I switched my single plan to a family plan,  added three
lines and got the LG VX 6000 for all four lines.  Now I see the 6100 is
out.  Any chance verizon would swap these for me if not for free maybe
a minimal fee?

Being under contract until March '06, customer service
has informed me I have to extend my contract 9 months,
until Dec '06, to get a current promotion. (100 bonus FS plan)
If the minimum contract for the current promo is 1 year,

I've followed the instructions for "free" web access via public proxies
and it generally seems to work pretty well.  I'm just wondering if
anyone has some insight on how it is that VZW doesn't charge for this.
They must know that this is not an ordinary phone call connection ...
