EVDO is amazing!17 Feb 2005 00:53 GMT7
I recently started with the Verizon EVDO service (unlimited - $79+) and am
really impressed at its speed. It downloads at over half-a-megabit at times.
However, sometimes when connecting, I come across a "Access denied - invalid
username/password" thing. Things work fine when I ...
Caller ID shows only "716"16 Feb 2005 21:47 GMT33
For the past couple of days I've been getting calls on my VX6000 that
show up as "716" and nothing else.  They happen at seemingly random
intervals.  I've picked up one of them and no one answered (it was
immediately disconnected), and nothing is ever left on my voice mail.

How to get WAP content on a Verizon v710 without MobileWeb?16 Feb 2005 02:07 GMT3
A few days ago, I upgraded my trusty (Verizon) Startac to a V710.
I was told that I could access WAP content using voice minutes,
albeit slowly, without paying for any extra access.
Since I occasionally could use WAP access, but not $5/month
Weather Info16 Feb 2005 02:06 GMT6
Used to be that you could call a local number to get weather information.
Now, cannot find them anywhere. Anyone know of a way to get local weather
info from your phone (not via internet)?
Normal Behavior For LG VX3200?15 Feb 2005 23:08 GMT3
I recently aquired a LG VX3200 phone and need to know if the following
is normal for this phone.  When I turn the phone off and charge the
phone with the wall charger, as soon as it is finished charging and I
remove the charger from the a.c. outlet, the phone turns itself on.
Nokia's nutty eyeglasses15 Feb 2005 20:05 GMT1
So they swear the phones are safe (I believe they generally are), but
then turns out Nokia has patented nerd eyeglasses which flash or blink
if your cell phone is pumping out too much juice. Go figure:

RPI Wireless - Warning15 Feb 2005 19:26 GMT1

Many of us on the 'BitPim' http://bitpim.sourceforge.net/ group have not received our products we paid for

Since I'm NOT gonna call CS :)!15 Feb 2005 15:36 GMT12
My old 4400 did this also (now I have the 6100), and there was trouble
ticket after trouble ticket for my local tower (problem never solved)--many
times my phone will not ring, but as long as I'm left a voicemail, it will
notify me immediately.  The caller generally hears maybe 3 ...
