Tech experts:  Is there a real technical problem with CDMA /bluetooth?09 Mar 2005 16:26 GMT40
Considering that more and more new cars will offer bluetooth
capability, I really can't understand why Verizon doesn't offer more
phone models that are bluetooth capable - unless they can't, for
technical reasons I am not capable of understanding.
It's Gone....#777 is!09 Mar 2005 06:18 GMT18
I have read a number of notes here about "no more free data" on
Verizon which seemd to "bad" to be true.
But today after trying various times to access VZW data through the
#777 number, I finally disconnected my computer, then manually dialed
WTD: a good verizon number in RI09 Mar 2005 03:01 GMT7
Can any of the smart people here suggest a way of getting a good phone
number in RI?  We only have one area code here, and the only numbers
that come up randomly are horrible.  If you have a RI number you're
getting rid of, or if you are a Verizon tech with an idea, please

qpst and LG vx700008 Mar 2005 22:28 GMT1
I just tried using the QPST loader program to transfer some ringtones to my
LG vx7000.  Through my computer, I can "see"  the ringtones that are on my
phone.  I transfered a *.mid (also tried an *.mp3) to the snd directory in
the dload/img directory, and I see the file going ...
v710, verizon and bluetooth -- what actually works?08 Mar 2005 16:52 GMT10
I'm having a hard time figuring out what Bluetooth functionality actually
does and doesn't work on Verizon's new v710's. If you've recently gotten one
and have tried using Bluetooth, can you tell me what you have and haven't
been able to get to work?
Gotchas with buying a VZW phone on eBay08 Mar 2005 16:49 GMT16
I need to replace my kids' Nokia and don't want to waste my upcoming
NE2 bonus on them. I'm considering eBay but reading how proprietary
VZW can be, will I run into problems activating it? Will it negate my
NE2 bonus if I buy a phone outside VZW? I'm not going fancy here for
VZW Prepay Changes Again - To "inPulse"08 Mar 2005 15:07 GMT20
I'm surprised no one has talked about the major changes to Verizon
Wireless' prepay system...even more extensive than when they
rejiggered it from the old "FreeUp" system.

"Soda-POP" - or Other Way to Get POP e-Mail?08 Mar 2005 11:16 GMT8
I just switched from Nextel to Verizon.  I have Mobile Web 2.0, but there
appears to be no easy way to use it to retrieve e-mail from a POP account.
I see that Verizon has something called "Soda POP" to perform this task, but
there's a monthly charge.  Are there any other ...

LG VX6000 says "service required"08 Mar 2005 04:35 GMT3

change anything in the system menus that made it do that. Any
suggestions how to fix it?
g1000 on verizon network08 Mar 2005 03:35 GMT2
Would verizon be able to flash a unlocked sprint hitachi g1000
smartphone to verizon firmware? Even though I belive verizon never sold
this phone. Also if verizon cant flash it, will it still work on the
verizon network (phone always works right?)?

Verizon T608 Bluetooth Phone07 Mar 2005 04:26 GMT5
Hey guys,
I know some of you have asked me about the T608 before  (and I know
there is general strife about the lack of bluetooth phones for
verizono).  Just wanted to announce that I am now selling T608's.  I
