VX8000 Automatically Updated PRL!07 Mar 2005 04:07 GMT6
This afternoon, I called Verizon to update my calling plan.  Just
before the call, I checked my PRL on my LG VX8000.  During the call, I
was told that I will need to do a PRL update using the traditional
*228, Option 2 method.  BEFORE I did this (and just minutes after

I would like to know if people have had any similar experiences, and better
luck, dealing with Verizon...
I have been a Verizon customer for over 6 years (since back in their
AirTouch days) and I currently have 3 phones on a family plan, on which my

Out of Contract - Whats The Best Angle With Them?07 Mar 2005 00:55 GMT19
I am out of contract with Verizon and am now going month to month.
Ideally I would like to lower my cell phone bill but it seems now
there are no cheap plans. I went to investigate pre-paid and was
shocked. They are going to charge me 99 cents a day for access. How
New Every Two06 Mar 2005 17:34 GMT12
Had a question about the new every two option. Does getting a new phone
using this option extend your current contract for two more years with no
changes in the contract? Or is it the beginning of a new contract for two
years?
Broadband Access cards06 Mar 2005 12:05 GMT3
VZW seems to have 2 cards for accessing their Broadband from a laptop:  the
Audiovox PC5220($50 after rebate) and the Novatel V620 ($100 after rebate).
Ideas on which is a better card?  For the extra $50 does the Novatel have
better reception?  Thanks.

Which phone is better?05 Mar 2005 18:35 GMT13
Verizon currently is having some promo on the following phones (which I
have narrowed down according to my budget and need).  All of them except
for the Motorola V265 comes with up to 3 FREE Samsung SCH-A650.
1) Audiovox CMD8910  2) LGVX6100  3) Motorola V265  4) Samsung SCH-A670
V710 vs. VX-800005 Mar 2005 16:27 GMT5
Does anyone have experience with both?  To me it seems that the reason to go
Moto is that you must have bluetooth and the reason to go LG is for the
Videocasting.  Aside from these two features, do any other reasons exist to
choose one or the other?  Thanks.

How do you email pictures to the phone?

-- From my computer I send it to my phone:  [phone_number]@vzwpix.com.
-- My phone beeps and says that I have a picture message and to go to
Signal Strength04 Mar 2005 23:51 GMT10
I have a VX7000 and find that the signal strength will vary from no
signal up to three bars frequently while I'm inside my condo.  Yesterday
I was doing an experiment on the signal.  While outside the the complex
the signal was three bars.  As soon as I drove throught the entrance,

American Idol - Vote by Cell Phone ?04 Mar 2005 16:07 GMT18
We usually vote on American Idol only using our regular phone. However, when
we try to vote on our cell phone(s), it is always busy. Is there a reason
for that? Could it be because we are on Verizon instead of Cingular or
because it is an 866 number?
What is an ESN#04 Mar 2005 04:08 GMT21
Alright this might sound stupid, but I am looking at buying a kyocera
7135 which my provider uses, but don't want to pay $399 and committ for
2 more years.  I have seen a bunch of these go on ebay for less than
half of this price.  In one description it says that they could not
