I posted a month or so back asking for help figuring out why my 5220 no
longer
provided adequate service in the SF Bay Area.  While the service had

V710 question22 May 2005 20:21 GMT13
I am considering trading up from a VX4400 to a V710. Is that a good move?
Also, if you have the cable for the V710, can you download the pictures
taken to the PC, or do you always have to "send them" incurring costs?
Thanks..... Paul
new phones?22 May 2005 01:22 GMT3
With the v710 now under $100 and the vcast phones under $150 does this mean
that new phones will be coming out soon? I mean usually when the top of the
line phones come down in price a new one is introduced that has more
features. I want a phone with bluetooth, vcast, camera, and ...

Which phone would you recommend for areas with few towers  and possibly
mostly analog service? For example, mountains of Vermont and New Hampshire.
Thanks for your help
PRL Question21 May 2005 20:11 GMT4
The are that I live in has weak, very tricky reception...
A few months ago, thinking perhaos I could alleviate that, I picked up the
Audiovox 9900/Tri-mode. Excellent phone. But I still dropped calls like
crazy from my house.
Can Verizon CDMA phones be used in the UK?21 May 2005 16:09 GMT3
I've got two Verizon phones - a plain old cell phone (camera, phonebook,
etc. :-) which is an LG VX6000, and PDA/cell hybrid which is a Samsung
SPH i700.  The VX6000 is definitely CDMA (specs say 800MHz for cellular
services and 1.9GHz for PCS (Personal Communication Services)).  ...
Newbie question re 1XRTT21 May 2005 15:56 GMT11
New to Verizon here -- I switched our family over to a Verizon family
plan from T-Mobile because of the wife's complaints about T-Mo's
coverage (which admittedly is spotty in our town).
Anyway, my question is:  Apparently "National Access" allows one to use
PC Telephone - why new users and awards keep coming, and what is so cool about it?21 May 2005 13:42 GMT1
Is it the next big hype of yet another VoIP phone? What is spurring the fast growth
and recognition of this internet telephony service? According to its loyal and new
users, PC Telephone offers so much more than any of its competitors, for much less.
These are the PC Telephone ...
Gay20 May 2005 20:02 GMT2
You are all gay.
Get out of your house, go outside, take a walk, go fishing, go hunting, go
camping, go riding, go whoring, or even a movie. You all need to lay down
the all mighty Verizon news group and get the hell outside for a little

v710 Backup Phonebook to PC20 May 2005 00:05 GMT6
Is there a software/USB cable package that allows you to backup your
phonebook to your PC?  How about transferring phonebook to a different phone
if/when you upgrade to a different model?
Thanks for any info.

analog replaced?19 May 2005 22:24 GMT9
I am getting a family member a Verizon cellphone, preferably slightly
old, from ebay. This family memeber lives the (rural and mostly
forest/farms) catskills/hudson valley, SID 00404. I checked all over
the area (20 miles) with my CDM-9500 and I can make calls everywhere
