I hear a lot recently about donating old cell phones to charity for 911 only
use. This sounds like a good thing to do, but I would only do it after
deleting saved information - certainly contacts etc. I know how to delete.
But how about the phone number itself?  Should I, or can ...

When I call *611 and follow the menu to the Call Waiting instructions I'm
told that *810 will disable it and *81 will turn it back on.

I am having the same problem with taxes and my cell phone provider.
live in California and when I first got my cell phone in '01 I was onl
paying a couple of dollars in taxes, now I am paying almost $15 in taxe
with my cell phone provider. :(

According to this months bills, effective July 1 Verizon is raising rates for
international calls over 100%. Calls currently priced at .65/minute are being
raised to $1.49. Calls to Canada and Mexico, curently at .20/minute will be
charged .49/minute.

Besides the uber-expensive smartphones...does any brand offer a phone
that can sync Outlook contacts and calendar? I don't need to do it
wirelessly...I just want to sync my meetings through a USB cable so I
can stop carrying around my PDA.
