Do they offer branded phones that use the GSM technology? Or do they support GSM networks? If not, what do they support? AMPS, CDMA, TDMA, etc? ===

| Looking for V710 Alternative | 20 Jul 2005 15:38 GMT | 1 |
A very good friend of mine just got a Verizon v710. I was impressed with the phone until I tried to send her some ringtone mp3s I had via bluetooth. I read up that Verizon crippled/omitted some of the phone's bluetooth, the class action law suit in California and

| Making calls in Canada - pre-paid | 20 Jul 2005 10:29 GMT | 3 |
Last summer while visiting the Canadian Maritimes, I was not able to make outbound calls on my VZW pre-paid phone (FreeUp service). I kept getting a message that the call could not be completed as dialed. In-bound calls were fine and I seem to remember were billed at the

| Car Baby any good? | 20 Jul 2005 05:49 GMT | 1 |
I saw an ad for an inexpensive wireless "handsfree" called a Car Baby. It clips on to the earpiece side of a cell phone and broadcasts the callers voice to the car's FM radio. Do these work well (I have an LG VX4500)? Does the Car Baby have it's own microphone or are you still ...

| How much are the taxes & fees on family plan in Montgomery Co. MD? | 20 Jul 2005 05:44 GMT | 8 |
Thinking of signing up with Verizon's Family Share Plan with four lines. Based on our past usage of airtime, it is unlikely that we will exceed 500 minutes per month. I am trying to get an accurate amount that we will be paying in taxes and fees, based on the $59.99 share

| AC I vs AC II | 20 Jul 2005 05:20 GMT | 15 |
I have a little personal puzzlement with the new America's Choice plan. I understand, no roaming, which means no roaming off Verizon's network, which means some areas no longer have coverage. Okay, so I looked at both PRLs as provided by mountainwireless.com (current AC I and ...

| Prepaid w/my own phone? | 20 Jul 2005 05:18 GMT | 6 |
I'm thinking of switching from AT&T (Cingular) TDMA service to Verizon when my contract is up, since TDMA service is steadily degrading and GSM doesn't cover the remote areas where I like to go bicycling. I'd like to take Verizon for an extended spin--a 15-day trial just

| Q's re: moving and keeping ACI, old area code | 20 Jul 2005 05:17 GMT | 1 |
My sister plans to move from NJ to AZ. She has the ACI plan. Uses her phone sparingly. When she moves and informs Verizon of her new billing address, will she be required to get a number local to AZ or can she keep her NJ number?. If required to change numbers, or she chooses to

| Trade my wife's VX6100 for an E815? | 20 Jul 2005 05:01 GMT | 4 |
On July 4th, my wife and I picked up new phones -- I got an E815, she got a VX6100 (she thought the E815 was "too heavy" and didn't like the grey color). I love my E815 -- best phone I've ever had. She's happy, too, with her VX6100. However, I've been reading reports about ...

Before I sign up, and being very skeptical about the terms and conditions of Verizon's Family Share plan, I need some help on interpreting what some of the features entail. The ad says "unlimited mobile to mobile .. to any Verizon Wireless

I am a Verizon Wireless customer, and I just recently discovered the feature known as Mobile IM. What I would like to know, is does it cost to send and receive instant messages to people who have Mobile IM set up on their Verizon Wireless too?
