| Erroneous fees when cancelling, if using autopay on final bill | 23 Sep 2005 06:18 GMT | 7 |
I just cancelled my Verizon service. I looked at my final bill, and saw that it was dated as of my termination date. This was before the monthly billing cycle, and thus before the monthly autopay cycle.

| new software version for LG VX8000 | 22 Sep 2005 19:35 GMT | 2 |
I am writing to discourage people from updating the software on their 8000. I did it and now the volume for my ringtones are unaccetably low. I plan on calling Verizon tomorrow and raising hell, although it won't do any good. Doubt they'd roll the version back.

My contract is about up. I am dire need of a new phone. I like the Motorola e815 and the LG VX8100. At Amazon you can get either for free after rebate when signing up for a new account, but they only sell Two Year contractras for Verizon.

1200 minute plan was eligible for an upgrade. After 1 NE2, we were able to get 4 phones for a total of $100 before rebates. After rebates, $50 each, the customer will have 4 phones and make $100. While this may not be the best deal, it is a good deal. Wanted all to know that ...

| 911 aGps feature; no longer can be worked around; old phones aren't being activated (as others have stated) | 22 Sep 2005 16:16 GMT | 4 |
I had posted that I was still having success re-activating old phones that were not 911 compliant. As of late, it isn't working at all. They cite FCC and VZW policy, which are both true. There is no longer a work-around. This note "retracts" a previous statement, that I can ...

| v710 vs e815 - help please | 21 Sep 2005 05:54 GMT | 10 |
I bought a V710 about 5 days ago. My only use for bluetooth is to pair with my car (2005 Audi). I don't use a headset. Works great in the car, except I can't put the phonebook in the car. Now Verizon introduces the new E815. Very technically speaking

I have a Treo 600 with Verizon. I went on the Website to try to sync my work email to the Treo 600. It keeps saying it can't log on to my email server. I was told by the IT person at work that it is a POP server and he gave me the correct server address. After being on hold with ...

Don't need a full PDA, but it would be nice to sync a phone calendar with a PC PIM, e.g. Outlook, etc. Are there handsets that support this via usb cable? or bluetooth?

| Verizon data on Alltel network | 20 Sep 2005 15:37 GMT | 3 |
My company is evaluating moving from Cingular to Verizon using the BlackBerry 7250. Our understanding is that data is available only where NationalAccess coverage is provided. However, when we are outside of the coverage area (rural Kansas), roaming on Alltel, data is

| E815 without EV-DO | 20 Sep 2005 04:02 GMT | 1 |
I disabled my Moto E815's EV-DO in favor of 1X to increase my battery time and it appears to be working. I live in an area in central NJ that is near the edge of the EV-DO coverage so the mobile phone keeps switching from EV-DO to 1X when it is set for auto. With 1X the audio
