Im trying to find a contact person within Verizon, who can actually help in improving coverage. Theres a specific office building I frequent in lower Manhattan that has poor penetration. Its the one and only place Ive visited where I cant use wireless broadband.

| will I use up my minutes if I call an 800 number? | 08 Dec 2005 13:26 GMT | 3 |
My friend was saying we do not use up minutes when we are on an outbound 800 call - is this true? Work asks me to call 800 numbers, but they do not like to reimburse for cell phone calls. Rocky

Would anyone happen to know what Verizon Wireless VIP is? My boss got a piece of mail from VZW VIP and I can't seem to find any information on the website or anywhere. Is it a secret club? :-)

| In-Calling FYI | 08 Dec 2005 03:00 GMT | 1 |
We had the 500 minute American Family Share plan for 49.95 and two phones. We have been Verizon customers for several years. I noticed a call from my son, who has a Verizon Wireless phone, to my wife was charged about $23. I called *611 and talked to a rep and she had trouble ...

| Samsung phones: do they still auto-increase volume? | 07 Dec 2005 13:48 GMT | 9 |
I have an A460. One thing I hate about it is that is automatically increases the volume (to an ear-piercing level) whenever there is a lot of ambient noise (traffic, on the bus etc.). Do the new Samsungs also have this annoying feature?

| Best speakerphone? | 07 Dec 2005 04:54 GMT | 12 |
I will be coming up on my upgrade pretty soon. My Kyocera kxV1 has been pretty good this year, but the speakerphone, like my v60s before it, is pretty cheesy. Not awfully usable in a moving car, and kills the battery life badly.

How unconditional are the insurance plans? Would it cover a phone falling into a sink and becoming totally unusable? thanks

| Verizon Wireless data speeds? | 06 Dec 2005 20:29 GMT | 6 |
I am interested in Verizon's EVDO service. I need info on individuals' experiences with this service. Does it ever go above 500K? 750K? 1000K? How long at a time? Has it ever been below 300K? for how long?
