Bluetooth phone with analogue/speaker-phone/phone-book x-fer22 Jan 2006 16:48 GMT13
I'm looking for a Bluetooth-enabled phone that has analogue
reception.  Mostly I need great reception because I use the phone in
fringe areas, and great sound quality.
I have a VZW phone that has served me wonderfully (a Toshiba rebranded
Anyone connecting their Razr to a PowerBook?22 Jan 2006 14:48 GMT2

Question on porting GSM number t-mob -> VZW22 Jan 2006 02:28 GMT1
If I port my GSM number to VZW, can I use the sim chip in my old GSM
phone and roam on the VZW network abroad?  I know there may be cheaper
options like getting a local phone and local sim chip, but I want to
keep the SAME number.  So, I would move the number to VZW, get new Treo ...
Treo 700W Wifi connection21 Jan 2006 23:50 GMT3
I assume that the 700w, since it has verizon's broadband capability built
in, does not have standard wifi capability. Since it has an SDIO slot I
assume that wifi could be added via a wireless card.
Am I correct?

The Verizon Experience20 Jan 2006 22:38 GMT32
As a Verizon customer since the beginning days, I have to say it's never
been easy making a simple purchase. Usually you know far more about the
equipment, functionality and network than any of their reps do. As a
"gageteer" I probably purchase a new phone from Verizon every year ...
Are Tri-Mode phones really all that useful anymore?19 Jan 2006 21:39 GMT76
I'm considering trading my new VX6100 for perhaps a VX8100.  But it
sounds like the Vx8100 is digital only and the Vx6100 has Tri mode.
I understand that Tri Mode will give you better reception by switching
to analog in poor reception areas.  Is tri mode really all that better
Taking my 7135 to Verizon store - what to expect?19 Jan 2006 16:08 GMT7
Been having problems the last week with my 7135. I've been told I cut
out every few words for about 2 seconds. Happens everywhere, fully
charged battery, on headset or without.
What is the Verizon store going to do? Tell me to call LockLine? Send
800-FREE411 (800-373-3411) Free Dir Asst19 Jan 2006 15:49 GMT10
At the risk of repeating something that may have been posted before...
FYI... This free 411 servcie works for me here in Denver, CO on my VZW
servcie.  Apparently it does not work in some locals and some providers are
blocking it. Give it a try.  Pretty cool.
Recommend VZW phone with usable modem19 Jan 2006 15:41 GMT2
I'm on Verizon and would like to have the option to use 1xRTT -- not
enough to justify a data plan, just NA/MOU occasionally when traveling.
I've tried a cable setup with my current phone, a Nokia 6015i, and
unfortunately it sems that Verizon disables the modem on that model.
