V325 and GPS?07 Jan 2006 07:41 GMT1
So, I started reading reviews about the v325 and its GPS capabitilies with
VZ Navigator.   It sounds like this phone has a genuine GPS receiver in it
vs aGPS?   Is this true?   Can it output NMEA data?
Thanks.

EVDO in LA Area - Speed Variations?07 Jan 2006 00:42 GMT4
I would like to know if any EVDO users in the LA area has been experiencing
any connection speed variations lately.
Over the last few days, I have noticed that my connects take about 15-20
seconds instead of the sub-5 seconds earlier. And most times VZAccessManager
Can port existing # when ordering svc from web?06 Jan 2006 23:36 GMT1
I currently have Sprint but want to switch to VZW.  If I order new
phone+service from the vzw website can I port my existing # to the new
phones?  During the web order process it does not say anything about #
porting.
Verizon phone in China?06 Jan 2006 11:23 GMT3
I was recently in Xi'an and Beijing.  I use a GSM phone when I travel, but I
carry my Verizon CDMA (a v710) so I can call the car service when we get
back to the U.S.  Just for fun, I switched on my Verizon phone in these
cities and was surprised to see 5-bars and the roaming ...
Treo 700W06 Jan 2006 04:58 GMT7
I saw in one of the web sites that follows the Treo, that the Treo 700W will
be released on January 5th by Verizon.
Does anyone know if it will be in the Verizon stores that day?
Thanks for any info...
landline # to check voicemail?06 Jan 2006 04:25 GMT8
I'm porting over to Verizon from Cingular. With Cingular I could call my
cell # from any phone, hit * when my message starts, then enter my
password and I'm into the voice mail system. AFAICT Verizon charges
airtime to check voicemail so I'm wondering if there is a similar
Motorola Phone Tools06 Jan 2006 03:54 GMT1
I have been trying to install the phone tools with no success.
Apparently the disk that came with my cable was either defective or too
old like me.  I did manage to get a later file but it came as an exec
file and when using the VZ Access program it requires me to insert the
Anyone know a website I can download freebbie songs as my ringtone? thanks.06 Jan 2006 03:51 GMT4

Treo reception quality05 Jan 2006 21:08 GMT4
My Palm Tungsten C has been dropped one two many times and I'm closing
in on the end of my VZW contract so I thought I'd look into the
upcoming 700w (probably not in the budget) or a 650 on closeout. I've
read a lot about the pros and cons of Palm OS vs. Windows Mobile but
e815: battery level indicator always at "full"05 Jan 2006 06:46 GMT10
Is this a bug--to be fixed by s/w update--or a defect in my specific phone?
The battery level indicator always shows charge is full when the phone is
running on battery; only when I plug in the charger cord does the indicator
show the true, less-than-full charge level.
calling plans05 Jan 2006 05:54 GMT9
hey all..
about those calling plans verizon offers, do they offer less air time
for new cell phones they don't advertise like less than 400minutes?
I'm currently on a plan with my old cell phone that has 150 minutes.

"Car Baby" et al, anybody use one?04 Jan 2006 03:01 GMT7
Anybody use one of those FM transmitters that clips onto the earpiece and
transmits the audio to your FM radio in the car?
I had one a few years ago and it wasn't good, but there's a new generation
of them out there now called "Car Baby", and I wonder if they're any better
small smartphone for streaming audio online?? 03 Jan 2006 19:53 GMT2
Does Verizon want my business?  I've been doing my homework can't find
what I want.
I want a compact windows smartphone.  I am currently happy with my GSM
audiovox smt-5600, but I'd prefer to switch to verizon since I'm
