I did the registry hack to get the GPS icon on the connections screen. My
question is do I need a seperate receiver of some sort ot get GPS signals? I
would like to use with Pocket Streets if possible. The gps icon asks what
port my device will use and I have no idea what to tell it ...
Phone Book Transfer Between Phones---Free or $10  What is a "Merit" Customer31 Mar 2006 19:26 GMT10
I recently got two new phones, moving from the V60s to the V276 (needed
phones that are compatible with the Motorola Professional Hands Free Car
Kit). One Verizon store charged me $10 for my phone book transfer.
Another Verizon store didn't charge for my wife's phone book ...
replacement for v710?31 Mar 2006 18:40 GMT2
It died. This exec says he wants the same phone but he doesn't need the
camera. He travels a lot and likes the CDMA coverage.
Thanks for any suggestions.
Oh, he would really like a print out of his contacts but the phone will not
Help: Treo 650 Beeping at odd times31 Mar 2006 17:59 GMT1
I have a new Treo 650 and the unit beeps, two short beeps,  at odd
times!  I do not see a message, so I  can not determine why the phone
is beeping.  What I want is to stop this from occurring at 4am!
I checked for voice mail, messages, etc.  but there are none.

Does anyone know of a site to download a good decent selection of midi
ringtones,  or just music files that I could then use as ringtones?

LG Software in ALL Verizon Phones? WTF!!31 Mar 2006 04:41 GMT18
I was stunned when my new Samsung A970 showed up with LG software. WTF? If I
wanted an LG I would have bought an LG. I buy Samsung because I like the
user friendliness and functionality of their software. When I inquired I was
told that LG software now comes on ALL Verizon phones ...
Is Mobile Web worth it?30 Mar 2006 22:07 GMT14
Wondering if it's practical to use the phone to access the Web. I
have an LG6000, which I don't think is MW 2.0 compatible.
Thanks,
Paul
LG8100 Camera Question30 Mar 2006 15:54 GMT1
This may not be the correct place to ask this question, but I'm not
sure what to do.  When I use my phone to take a picture there is a
small black dot on the picture.  The same thing happens when I record a
video, ecxept the black spot is slightly larger and in another place.
Best way to switch to Verizon?30 Mar 2006 14:57 GMT8
The Cingular accounting system for this customer who has
"migrated" from AT&T is a disaster. I'm so frustrated by
Cingular that I'm thinking of breaking the new Cingular
contract and switching to Verizon. Should I switch my phone
Motorola Razr - wired headset compatible?29 Mar 2006 13:59 GMT5
I can't find the real answer.  Even if I used a bluetooth most of the time,
I can see the need to be able to fall back to wired if necessary.  Thanks.
5220 reception ills in Montgomery county VA29 Mar 2006 11:53 GMT1
It's that time of year again.  The leaves are coming back to the trees.
Just like last year, the ability of my 5220 to communicate with the 1x
network (800 mhz in this area) goes down.
Yet my VX 4400 is still hanging on (for now).
Linux Squid users for VZW proxying?28 Mar 2006 21:31 GMT1
I have set up a Linux Squid proxy server at home for web browsing of my
LG VX-6100, and am wondering if there are any other members who have
done the same for their respective phones?
If so, how have you set up password protection on Squid?
Anybody have FIOS Internet/TV?28 Mar 2006 16:33 GMT8
Any good?
Has anyone paid retail for a phone?28 Mar 2006 01:47 GMT3
I am thinking about picking up the LG 9800 for retail (I think Verizon
charges 350)  My wireless contract isn't up until July for an upgrade.
Currently, I am happy with my phone...and can't seem to find it.  It is
an older Samsung.  Anyway, has anyone paid retail for a phone or is ...
Can't store .wav file from message onto phone.28 Mar 2006 00:27 GMT2
I just started with Verizon, and have a Motorola e815 phone.  I found a
.wav file of the ring tone I want, and sent it to my phone via email
from my computer.  When I open the message on the phone, however, I
can't store the file to the phone to make it a ring tone.
