Suggestions for replacement phone30 Apr 2006 20:09 GMT8
Ideas and suggestions please. My mothers Nokia 3285 phone died last
night. Took it in to be serviced and it is DOA. I need a replacement
phone for her that is about as large as this one is. It seems that all
of the replacement phones have all of the features. I would like to
e81530 Apr 2006 07:08 GMT2
I had an e815 for a few days back in December. I was able to use
Bluetooth dialup networking and use the phone as a modem, accessing the
National Access network via either Bluetooth or a USB cable.
Is that still possible with recent vintage e815 phones? I have heard
Free Ringtones - where?30 Apr 2006 06:47 GMT8
Ok, I realize I'm probably the last to know but just where *are* those
free ringtones and graphics for the LG VX6000? Every web site I find
says "free" until you go to download them then it's $0.99 or $1.00 for
10 or some such pricing scheme. I'm not against free enterprise but ...
Should I install ActiveSync 4.1 now or wait til phone arrives?29 Apr 2006 23:47 GMT5
Hi. I ordered an XV6700 and it should be here in a few more days. Until
then, I use my iPAQ (without a phone) with ActiveSync 3.7. Can I just
install/upgrade ActiveSync NOW to 4.1 (the version downloadable from
MS)....then once the XV6700 gets here, just connect it to my PC and ...

Can you port a cell number but keep the same carrier?29 Apr 2006 18:01 GMT15
If you haven't noticed, Amazon has been having crazy sales on cell
phones.  I'm currently out of contract on my VZW cell and would love to
keep my business with them, but at the same time I'd like to take
advantage of the great prices (FAR) at Amazon.
Verizon vx6700 as notebook modem29 Apr 2006 17:02 GMT4
I'm considering an upgrade to Verizon's vx6700 and would like to know
if it can be used as a modem for my notebook or is there a way to
"share" it's internet access either with wi-fi, bluetooth or USB. I
know it would be slow, but this would be on a rare occassion and would

VZW customers in Southern Kentucky29 Apr 2006 12:37 GMT3
I am considering moving to Verizon Wireless from Cingular.  I am interested
in knowing what the coverage is like in Southern Ky where VZW customers
would be using the Bluegrass Cellular system?  Thanks in advance for any
feedback you can provide.
Mororola 120c antenna replacement29 Apr 2006 03:09 GMT3
A long while back I broke the antenna on my Motorola 120c phone.  I've now
got a replacement antenna but I can't figure out how to get the old broken
antenna out of the phone.  It looks like the old antenna has to be rotated
90 degrees so that the plastic tab will not get hung up ...

Hi. I have an HP iPAQ that uses WM2003 along with ActiveSync 3.7 and Outlook
2003. Everything synchs fine. I just ordered a UT Starcom XV6700 PDA/phone,
and was wondering what version(s) of Outlook and ActiveSync it'll work with.
I thought maybe z9before the XV6700 gets here) I ...

Mobile Minute Manager - Free download28 Apr 2006 19:19 GMT5
I wrote an interesting windows application that allows you to manage
the minutes included in your cell phone plan.  It graphically displays
cellular phone usage to prevent unexpected overage charges. It can be
used by individuals, families, and small companies looking to save
What happens to old phone when you upgrade?28 Apr 2006 10:15 GMT7
Hi. I'm contemplating upgrading to a PocketPC/cell hybrid (Samsung, Treo
700w, or XV-6700) with my current service plan. If I buy one of the hybrid
phones (PPC/phone), can I still use my current phone (just not at the same
time)? My current phone (LG VX-3200) is a plain, simple ...
