So far the recommendations here have been great!  But I am wondering, is
there yet a phone that can do higher than 1.5 Megapixels?  The Motorola one
you all recommended seems to be the best so far that I can find - or am I
just looking in the wrong places??

My Dad just upgraded an old bag phone to the LG4650.
Its a relatively new model ..  flip phone with a thumbnail
size speaker at the top.
It came with PRL 50014 installed.

Anyone scene or heard anything on this,  it was on there web site on
the holiday weekend,  figuring someone goofed or VZW got wind of
delivery problems ,  maybe trying to compete with Cingular and the

I am going to replace my VX4400 soon.

By my experience, this company is severly lacking experienced software
programmers for it's cell phones and has been for years, they can't even
properly spell in the menus or get their schedulers / calendars to work
properly when programmed for recurring alarms past 1 week, plus ...

Apparently they will be using Sprint/NEXTEL Infrastructure since they
now own a chunk of Sprint.

From the info on PhoneScoop, the new VX-8300 looks very similar to the
current VX-8100.
Anyone know anything about the Vx-8300?  Any reason to wait for it?

I have two weeks to evaluate VX-8100 phones.  I'd like to transfer my
existing phone numbers from VX-4400's.  Is there any way to do this
short of buying software for both phones?  Actually I do have
DataPilot for the VX4400, but I'd rather put off ordering 8100
