Verizon...the Nightmare!!18 May 2006 15:18 GMT16
Verizon....The Nightmare!!!
ok...you know the saying about the customer always being right? Verizon does
not follow that at all. Let me explain....
I had been a Verizon customer for over 10 years and I even got DSL when they
Dual-Mode Vs. Tri-Mode Phones ?18 May 2006 14:40 GMT9
Not very sharp with this stuff.
The idea of the tri-mode for when I'm not in a big city seems appealing.
What are the differences, please, between the dual mode, and the tri mode ?
What is PCS service, which I guess the dual modes do Not have.
Which phone for me? I want vibrate mode to be silent.17 May 2006 15:23 GMT3
I'd like to get a new phone.

Flip/clamshell/slide/whatever, but some type where buttons won't get
pressed while it's in my pocket.
Basic Phone For Elderly ?17 May 2006 14:56 GMT3
I would appreciate it very much if someone might make a few suggestions as
to a phone I should obtain with new service from Verizon.
Am elderly now, and usage would be minimal; just in case of an emerg., or
perhaps a bit as a convenience when away from house.

verizon website they say:

Phone Network Setting on Treo 700w16 May 2006 03:43 GMT4
I have a new 700w, and realize the "phone network setting" is set to
"Home" rather than "Automatic B" as I would believe is correct. My
service is the standard 450 minutes with unlimited network access. When
I change the setting to "Automatic B", it always reverts back to "Home"
Cell on Locked Mode15 May 2006 17:05 GMT3
I must have pressed some keys to automatically lock my phone.  How do I
unlock it if I never set up a security code for it?  Is there an initial
generic code I can use?
I have an old Motorola Startac.
Dail tome "adapter" for cellphone.15 May 2006 03:24 GMT7
My buddy has a device that he needs to use occasionally that has a built
in modem and it expects to see a standard phone line. I remember
Motorola had an adapter for bag phones and the cellsocket devices would
probably work but they don't seem to have anything that would work ...

do not have Verizon Wireless service anymore and the phone is no longer
being used.
I'm going overseas in a few days, and the people I'm going with said to
NSA CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW?14 May 2006 23:52 GMT19
It all becomes abundantly clear doesn't it? And that network thing where
you have all those people "helping you?" As I said, it all becomes
abundantly clear. Of course, you can do anything for "national security,"
even lie about doing it. Will we ever be able to trust government ...
VZW does a nice thing14 May 2006 22:54 GMT6
I accidentally killed my discontinued XV6600 and bought the XV6700 as a
replacement. Didn't like it so bought a used 6600 and went to return the
6700, but found that box, a/c charger and other things were nowhere to be
found. Went to VZ store and asked nicely for a refund, ...
Coverage in El Paso & Across the Border14 May 2006 22:48 GMT3
will be travelling around El Paso, TX and Las Cruces, NM shortly.  What's
VZW's coverage like in those parts.
Also, how likely will it be to get a signal from the El Paso side of the
Rio Grande if I'm walking around in Juarez, Mexico?  How will I know if I'm
