Not very sharp with this stuff. The idea of the tri-mode for when I'm not in a big city seems appealing. What are the differences, please, between the dual mode, and the tri mode ? What is PCS service, which I guess the dual modes do Not have.

I would appreciate it very much if someone might make a few suggestions as to a phone I should obtain with new service from Verizon. Am elderly now, and usage would be minimal; just in case of an emerg., or perhaps a bit as a convenience when away from house.

I have a new 700w, and realize the "phone network setting" is set to "Home" rather than "Automatic B" as I would believe is correct. My service is the standard 450 minutes with unlimited network access. When I change the setting to "Automatic B", it always reverts back to "Home"

I must have pressed some keys to automatically lock my phone. How do I unlock it if I never set up a security code for it? Is there an initial generic code I can use? I have an old Motorola Startac.

My buddy has a device that he needs to use occasionally that has a built in modem and it expects to see a standard phone line. I remember Motorola had an adapter for bag phones and the cellsocket devices would probably work but they don't seem to have anything that would work ...
