More Brew nonsense01 Oct 2006 00:11 GMT2
It appears that Brew was specifically developed to facilitate wireless
carriers charging for what amounts to proprietary software on proprietary
hardware. I've spent an hour or so looking for independent sources of Brew
applications, and found none. Here's an article that ...
Latest Thinnest Coolest Mobile Phone in the World30 Sep 2006 14:10 GMT9
Its not a Motorola, not a Nokia, or a NEC
Impossibly thin, if you stack 4 credit cards on top each other, they
would be thicker than the phone

IS-2000?29 Sep 2006 19:22 GMT2
Just got a new LG VX3450. Reading through the manual, I got to the page
where it "explains" the icons on the display. There is one icon looks like
"1x") which the manual says means IS-2000. OK. What the manual doesn't say
is WTF IS-2000 means?

Programming Language and how cell phone scripts work?29 Sep 2006 00:51 GMT12
I am trying to learn how cell phone programs work (fundamentally); how there
are created and what software programs are used; what programming languages
are used; how the completed programs are loaded and unloaded. Basically I
would like to know in laymen’s terms how all of this ...
changing fonts on LG VX8300 .. not working for me :-(28 Sep 2006 18:07 GMT5
I just got a LG VX8300 .. partially because I read it has a setting
to change to font size. Not sure what I'm doing wrong, but when I change
the font size from normal to large I can't tell a difference. The
text messages etc are still in the same tiny font.
More VZW/LG8300 blues28 Sep 2006 09:20 GMT10
I have been having trouble browsing the web through my LG VX8300. Most of
the websites I want to go to result in an "HTTP Error." For example, I can't
get to Gmail. Another problem is the browser lacks a function for simply
entering URLs. The only way to access a site is either ...
ETF26 Sep 2006 22:46 GMT2
My wife is trying to get out of her Verizon contract.  It's up on May 9th,
2007.  We called customer service and asked what the ETF would be.  I was
under the impression that Verizon was pro-rating that fee now, but my wife
was told that it'd be $175 for her to cancel.  Is there ...
LG VX8300: Playing Music26 Sep 2006 17:16 GMT2
If I go into Manage Music and I select the Albums menu there is an
Options menu to select an album and then hit Play Album. Subsequently,
it plays all the songs in that album.
Likewise, is there a way in the Genres meny to select a genre, like
BlackBerry and Motorola Q26 Sep 2006 14:54 GMT4
I know with Blackberry you get your email in real time always on.

me with Motorola Q you set it up to go check your email like once
every 5 mins. Is that true? If so that sucks I will need to know the

Motorola E81525 Sep 2006 21:03 GMT1
I just bought a new Motorola E815. Is there any way to make my own custom
ring tones? On my old Audiovox CDM8910 I could cut out a section of an MP3
and send it to the phone from my e-mail account. This phone won't let me do
that.
