It appears that Brew was specifically developed to facilitate wireless carriers charging for what amounts to proprietary software on proprietary hardware. I've spent an hour or so looking for independent sources of Brew applications, and found none. Here's an article that ...

Just got a new LG VX3450. Reading through the manual, I got to the page where it "explains" the icons on the display. There is one icon looks like "1x") which the manual says means IS-2000. OK. What the manual doesn't say is WTF IS-2000 means?

| ETF | 26 Sep 2006 22:46 GMT | 2 |
My wife is trying to get out of her Verizon contract. It's up on May 9th, 2007. We called customer service and asked what the ETF would be. I was under the impression that Verizon was pro-rating that fee now, but my wife was told that it'd be $175 for her to cancel. Is there ...

| Motorola E815 | 25 Sep 2006 21:03 GMT | 1 |
I just bought a new Motorola E815. Is there any way to make my own custom ring tones? On my old Audiovox CDM8910 I could cut out a section of an MP3 and send it to the phone from my e-mail account. This phone won't let me do that.
