How much to tether my laptop to phone?30 Dec 2008 19:26 GMT2
I used to be able to tether my old motorala phone since 2003. Then
this year a car ran over it and it broke. So I got a really cheap
Samsung phone and got the USB driver. I believe the modem is setup
correctly but whenever I dial that 777 number, it will not connect.
Account activation question28 Dec 2008 18:51 GMT3
I was thinking about re-activating my account that has been in-active
for a long time due to non-payment because of my ex wife. If I pay the
entire balance right away will they re-activate my old account? It has
been about a year since I have looked at that account.
Handset Opinions27 Dec 2008 21:28 GMT2
I took my son to Best Buy yesterday for a little last minute desperation
shopping. While he was scurrying around, I took some time to look at the
large display of Verizon phones-- a lot of the "hot" phones people have been
jabbering about here for months.

Question about batteries.22 Dec 2008 20:53 GMT41
I have a V3m with a dying battery so I started checking prices, the
local places are all asking $40, the exact same battery on-line is
around $15 or less, I've found genuine Motorola batteries for as low
as $2!

Freestanding charger for LG 8550 battery?22 Dec 2008 15:22 GMT2
Anyone seen these for sale? I want to keep an LG 8550 battery charged
and ready to swap. But, I only have one phone... and it's in use all
the time.
As an alternative, I could use a nearly dead LG 8550 that will still
Can VZW track a stolen phone via MEID?21 Dec 2008 21:49 GMT4
My son had his VZW phone stolen the other day.  I had VZW suspend the
service until I can get another phone for him.
Just wondering, does VZW have the capability to be able to track if/when the
stolen phone is re-connected under somebody else's account, provided they do

Blackberry Storm first (and last?) impressions19 Dec 2008 02:08 GMT20
I ordered a Storm for my wife, and it arrived yesterday. I spent a few hours
playing around with it last night. Some random comments:
-I was surprised that the package included no protective sleeve or case of any
type for a $250+ phone.
VZW Voicemail - Bypass Generic Greeting18 Dec 2008 23:10 GMT5
When someone calls me and gets my VZW voice mail they first hear the
greeting message I recorded followed by the VZW generic greeting message
(female announcer).
Is there anyway to turn off the generic greeting (femal announcer) so that
Verizon Wireless V750 Update18 Dec 2008 18:18 GMT1
Motorola Phone Tools version 5.13b now works with the V750.
The version I download from Motorola Dec 15, 2008 was not the most
current version, and did not work with the V750. However the
software updated itself to version 5.13b and it now works with the
