Cell phone GPS capabilities27 Jun 2009 15:24 GMT20
My kid and two friends are going on a 3 week backpacking trip, and all their
phones have a GPS feature. (My son's phone is a Samsung SCH-A950). Assuming
the GPS feature has not been switched to "911 emergency only", and assuming
the phone is in an active zone for the carrier in ...
Message from the Borg - "Resistance is futile."27 Jun 2009 01:23 GMT6
There are quite a few conflicting paragraphs in the thick 8.5x11"
envelope the Borg sent me today.  On one sheet they tell me how
wonderful the Borg are and how they are so glad I'm going to be their
wonderful customer.  On another sheet they tell me I'm a sh.t and they
Good, used phone for verizon25 Jun 2009 12:04 GMT7
My son continually either loses his phone or somehow manages to damage
the charging ports on EVERY phone I've ever gotten him.  This is why I

travel outside the Verizon service area.
Personally I think the PagePlus Talk 'n Text plan at $33.60/month for
VZW service in Mexico / cruise ship?22 Jun 2009 18:41 GMT7
In a few months I'm taking a week cruise from L.A. down to Cabo,
Puerto Vallarta, and Mazatlan. It's on Royal Caribbean's Mariner Of
The Seas. I'd appreciate any info on coverage / roaming on and off the
ship.  I've got a Centro and my wife has a Pearl. There's an Internet
BlackBerry Pearl Flip21 Jun 2009 23:03 GMT1
As predicted, it showed up today on VZW's website.
Perfect for those who want a BlackBerry and, like me, won't have
anything that isn't a flip phone.  I also appreciate the much larger
keys than other BlackBerrys.
Using a Verizon US (Vodafone) SIM in an unlocked GSM phone overseas18 Jun 2009 23:17 GMT6
I'll be relocating to Sydney, NSW, Australia in a few months for
work.  I plan on signing up for mobile phone service in Australia, but
using my Verizon Global Phone (crappy BB Storm) for a short time.
My family are naturally coming from the US to visit me at times, and

What to do?  Buy the 8830 (and get one free to sell on eBay) or wait for the
