Activate Pre-Paid Phone on Post-Paid Account28 Jul 2009 00:52 GMT8
My current phone is circling the drain and needs to be replaced real soon. I
usually just buy one on eBay-- but I see nice new VZW pre-paid phones for
$20-$30 at Wal-Mart. Can I just get one of them and switch my current ESN to
one of them?

Several years ago one could use VText.com for an account and use an

Is there anything new on this?
Motorola V750 timer discrepancies25 Jul 2009 17:09 GMT6
I posted earlier about the discrepancies in logging calls on my Moto
V750.  Well I wrote twice to Motorola regarding it and their response
more or less was "it was the way it was designed and there is nothing
that can be done to change it.

A new model BB for Verizon and no chatter about it? I'm shocked.

Backup Assistant question23 Jul 2009 02:48 GMT5
Been using BA for quite a while now and am really happy with it.
Question;
My active, newer phone, is obviously synchronized with BA's online database
of contacts. It "checks in" every day. It contains about 400 contacts.

about problems with that one) . I like the larger qwerty keys on the LG,
customer "loyalty" plan20 Jul 2009 13:24 GMT6
I got a call from Verizon because they noted our very low usage on the
family plan.  They offered a special deal for $10 less per month, but with
550 minutes instead of the minimum 700.  They did not extend my contract
commitment.  They did say I would lose $50 of "points" that ...

It's been many years since I churned the Borg for Alltel....
The Borg have returned.  Here's what Alltel customers are experiencing on
the Borg's finest network:

When checking "Recent Calls" Received and Dialed I have noticed an

if your computer is plugged into an electrical outlet hackers can tell
what you are typing by measuring the signal on the ground generated by
keystrokes on the keyboard. Think you're safe if you unplug your latop?

After 10 years with AT&T (started with Cingular) they decided

Google Voice won't work for faves, calling circles or favorite numbers for incoming calls16 Jul 2009 07:29 GMT2
I noticed that when I receive an incoming call from a Google Voice
number you get the same sort of non-number that you get with Skype on
Caller ID, or "Unknown."
So I guess you couldn't have it forward to your mobile phone with the
lousy reception15 Jul 2009 20:35 GMT7
It seems I have "marginal" coverage in my neighborhood and even worse
reception in my house which is an older brick siding house.  We
frequently do not receive calls and discover someone called only if
they leave a voicemail.  We do receive text messages everytime though.
