In Brief: Oracle postpones opening office in Kenya   25 Aug 2005 14:05 GMT
Oracle has postponed the opening of a regional office in Nairobi, Kenya, according to Khalil Hindwan of the company's African operations. The office was supposed to open this month, but when it will open is unknown. The company has given no reason for the postponement. The office is to serve 20 eastern and southern African countries as well as the Indian Ocean islands, including Botswana, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Swaziland, Malawi, Angola, Seychelles, Madagascar, and Mauritius. Last month, Oracle Senior Director for Application and Industry Marketing for Europe, Middle East, and Africa Anthony Peake announced the Kenyan office plans.
