Reuters - Japan's NEC Corp. posted an 84 percent
fall in annual profit on Thursday, hurt by its struggling
mobile phone and chip operations, but it forecast a recovery
this year.

Reuters - Deutsche Telekom reported a 2.7
percent rise in first-quarter core earnings on Thursday, in

mobile phone operator, plans to launch a music download service
as early as June to compete with rival KDDI Corp.'s (9433.T)
popular version, the Nihon Keizai business daily reported on
Thursday. The paper said DoCoMo will offer thousands of songs
for about 300 yen ($2.70) each, similar to the price offered by
KDDI's "au" mobile unit.
