21 Jan 2008 20:11 GMTNewsFactor - Sanyo has agreed to sell its mobile-phone business to Kyocera Wireless for a net gain of $375 million. Under the deal, Kyocera will combine its mobile operations with Sanyo's human resources, technological capabilities and client base in North America, said Sanyo Executive Vice President Kentaro Yamagishi. Some 2,000 employees in Sanyo's mobile-phone business will continue to work for Kyocera once the transfer is completed, he added.
