Does anyone know of a way to find out the owner of a cell phone if you know
their number? I see many sites for reverse lookups for cell phones but
they charge almost 100 bucks.

Hm, and since cell phone numbers aren't publically listed like landlines,
that smells a lot like a scam to me.

I used Phone Search Central (http://tinyurl.com/3lvaw)
when I needed to lookup a cellular phone number.

It wasn't a scam at all, I got the information of who owned the cel
phone so I could file some court documents.

Some guy ripped me off on ebay for $1200 but gave me his cell phon
number.

Anyway, Phone Search Central took the guy's cell phone number and gav
me his name & address so I could start up taking him to small claim
court.

They charged me $50, which was the best price I could find on th
internet.

I didn't have alot of money at the time, after getting ripped off fo
$1200.

Most places like you said want $200, and I went to a local privat
investigator that wanted $500 to lookup the cell number!

Anyway, I'd check out http://tinyurl.com/3lvaw if you need that sort o
thing.

I hope this info helps, best of luck to you!

You should try www.discountphonebust.com. They charge $35.00. 1-3 day
delivery of information.

Good luck

I sold a purebred puppy to someone who gave me a fake address - they wouldn't
return my phone calls so I went to check on the pup, and the address didn't
exist. I tried to save money with the Discount Phone Bust - they took much
longer than 3 days and the customer service was awful! I think I waited
nearly a week and felt like no one was replying to emails and voicemails.
After I got tired of waiting, I cancelled my order with Discount Phone Bust,
and tried the Phone Search Central place which got me the REAL address of
where the puppy was, with the guy's cell phone number. Then I was able to
have the local animal control help me get the puppy back since the conditions
there were awful. But I can't say if Discount Phone Bust would have ever
come through or not, since I got tired of waiting.

I bought Net detective over a year ago and it's been totally useless. So
there are some places that are slow, some places that are totally a scam, and
some places that are more expensive. Thanks to this forum I was able to find
a place that actually came through.

Yes, there is a way, and I would like to inform you in response to the
ignorant comment below. Ignorance is no excuse, so be informed.

There are 2 ways to access the info. One is through voluntary directories.
This is not as strong obviously since many people prefer not to voluteer
their cell phone number lookup info.

The second way is through detective services. We offer that and have a 100%
success record thus far. So for any to to ignorantly state lookups are a scam
or cannot be done, is a poor reflection on the person making such ill-
informed claims.

To access these services, visit the website -
http://www.Cell-Phone-Number-Lookup.com and follow the link to "detective
services" at the bottom of the page or clik the following link for a Cell Phone Number
Lookup.

The servies are not overly expensive, for instance, a basic lookup for a cell
phone number lookup is $69. That will provide the owners name and addrss. The
guarantee is that if we are not able to identify the owner and address, then
there is NO CHARGE and your fee will be returned immediately.

Best wishes,

The CPNL Team

Thee is another way to lookup cell phone numbers actually and it is located
at Search Detective Reverse Phone
Lookups.

Just go to Search Detective Cell
Phone Number Lookup.

They have a service called Cell Phone Magic. There is a press release at Search
Detective Offers Cell Phone Magic Number Lookups.

Good luck!

I've found many freebie type websites but they just don't seem to have the
info and it ends up being a frustrating waste of time. However, I did find
one pay site that doesn't charge the $100+ fees and it's been pretty good for
my skip traces. The website is www.discreetskiptrace.com. Give it a try.

I noticed that www.discreetskiptrace.com dropped their prices to $29.95 for
any reverse phone lookup, landline or cell phone. Most places are charging
double on cell phones but not this place.

And I also agree with the guy in this thread that was looking for the
seller's phone number of a puppy he'd bought, DON'T USE
www.discountphonebust.com. They SUCK!!! Their customer service ISN'T. I
waited over a week for my results - never got them and then found out they
charged my credit card for giving me nothing and i had to go thru the b.s.
of clearing it with my credit card company.

Bottom line: I use www.discreetskiptrace.com cause it's GOOD, FAST, AND
KNOWS CUSTOMER SERVICE.

You can get that information for free at 'this website'
(http://www.cell-phone-usa.com). If you need to find out the TRUTH
about anyone, you still don't need to spend 100 bucks. For a one time
fee of only $29.00, you can get unlimited access to criminal records,
phone records, credit records, and FBI records at 'this website'

Hope this helps.

Take the $29 and put it all on red at the roulet wheel. At least you'll
have a chance of not being ripped off.

There's a site now called 'Reverse Cell Phone Searcher
(http://tinyurl.com/2n64ht) which allows you to search for cell phon
records by their cell phone number.

There's a 56 day guarantee with this service which allows you t
investigate the information gaines from it and then evaluate if it'
worth keeping or not. How cool is that

All you need to do is head over to this 'Reverse Cell Phone Number Loo
Up' (http://tinyurl.com/2n64ht) site, type in the number you want t
search and hit "Search Now"..

It's as *easy* as that

Great site, I checked it out, but there's a lot more to conductin
reverse cell phone lookups than what your site provides. Here's a
interesting article, entitled "'Due Diligence Not Past Due
(http://tinyurl.com/2mx72g)." -- it was published the other day, tha
expresses much of the breadth that this field has come to appreciate.

When it comes to providing the public with services of potentially suc
importance, they should not [I believe] be led to think that any servic
provider will address their needs as well as any other -- that'
probably not the case.:)

That's why I've led CellPhone Forum users to check out the difference
for themselves, at this 'Free Reverse Cell Phone Lookup
(http://www.cell-phone-usa.com) site, before getting too frustrated wit
the limited resources of other companies. What do I mean by that?
Simply that we own and operate the largest telephone database in th
world, and that gives us a pivotal advantage when it comes to findin
whoever our clients need to find, that's all

I've copied and I've pasted what I found online on the Cingular wireless site.
It explains a lot and I see no hope of getting an address from a cell phone
number. Here is the following:

"As you may have read or seen in the media, a number of websites are
advertising the availability for sale of wireless phone records. Please know
that Cingular Wireless does not sell customer information to, or otherwise
cooperate with, these companies, and we are working aggressively to combat
their practices. Cingular has filed lawsuits against several of such
companies, and has obtained restraining orders prohibiting them from
obtaining Cingular customer information or providing it to anyone.

Cingular is supporting efforts to criminalize the unauthorized acquisition or
sale of wireless phone records. We are also working with law enforcement to
address the practice that we call Cell Phone Record Ripoffs.

In addition, Cingular has a variety of safeguards in place to protect against
unauthorized access to customer information, and we continue to evaluate and
enhance these safeguards."

Yes there are several sites that provide people searches from a databse of
PUBLIC UTILITY RECORDS, and therefore do not provide any illegally obtained
information about cell phone numbers. I checked these out with an authority
to be sure, and they are:

http://www.searchingdetective.com

http://www.datesandlove.com

http://www.searchsmartz.com

http://www.reversephonedetectives.com
