Verizon and Cingular deals are better, but if you need a phone, and don't use
your phone much Tracfone can make sense.
However, when somebody posts something where they make a profit on the deal (in
this case 100 free minutes), you always have to be suspicious.

I like your chart, almost too much info to take in at once.
I travel around a lot and the differences in roaming become very imporant.
The tracfone cost here is more resonable but Verizon and T-mobile policy of
free on network gives the best value.
I think Cingular KIC does charge roaming on their network outside your
local aera.
If you don't care where your local number is tracfone can be customized for
the best local coverage, for example a number in Amory MS (662) gives
better coverage than Birmingham AL (205) both Cingular TDMA.

Very cool. I wish I would've had that to reference when I was looking for a
prepaid for someone else. Thanks!

... as one who uses both a Tracfone & a Cingular K I C prepaid I know from
experience that activating a Cingular prepaid phone over the phone is a real
hassle - the phone staff I dealt with were lost doing a prepaid account.
That alone will keep me from getting another one.
